WEEK 11! WARRIOR WOMEN ON DATE!

Image
Hello lovely people! I can't believe it's pday again! I hope your week was full of fun and exciting opportunities!       MIRACLES HAPPEN! Last week I told you guys about a lady named Phyllis that we have been teaching. She has had not one type of cancer, not two but SEVEN different types of cancer. We called her our WARRIOR WOMEN! She has had one of the hardest life's I have ever heard of but her faith is strong. We were teaching her earlier this week and we felt the spirit very strongly to ask her to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized! Sister Murdoch and I were both crying as Phyllis said "yes I am ready". Phyllis began to cry with us too. The spirit we felt was amazing. For those of you who know me pretty well know that I'm a softy. The spirit can barely touch me and I'm in tears. My mission has turned me tough. I have cried little to none at all but Phyllis got my tear ducts flowing big time. We left her house on cloud nine! Before w...

WEEK 9&10!!! METH EPIDEMIC...

HELLO TO ALL OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! It just gets better and better! The weeks and days are going by faster and faster. Mission time really is the most messed up thing!       I didn't send an email last week due to adventuring and exploring the coast most of the day! I gotta catch yall up but I will try and keep it shortish;). Before my mission, most of you know I came to Oregon with my family. While being here I fell in love with a seafood place called "Mo's". I didn't think there was one in my mission so for the last 6 weeks I haven't thought much about it. I found out there was one in Florence and I was OVER THE MOON! We drove about 2 hours to get clam chowder and on the way we explored the coast! Mo's has the BEST clam chowder and almost all their locations overlook the ocean. To say Mo's made my day is an understatement. We went to a lighthouse called "Heceta Head". It was seriously so beautiful....

WHAT'S UP Y'ALL?! I hope you are all doing fantastic and loving life!       It's only been four days since I last wrote an email but it has been a great last four days! We got transfer calls last night and...I am STAYING IN COOS BAY with Sister Murdoch! I am really happy to be staying in this area. I feel really blessed to be teaching and serving the people on the coast. We are finally back to teaching after having Covid! We met with this sweet lady named Phyllis. We have been ministering to her the last few weeks due to her being sick with cancer. This last week she was feeling well enough for us to teach her a lesson! We taught her the Restoration and she LOVED it. She has had a really hard life. She lives in an RV alone and has a hard time taking care of herself. She feels like the gospel can really help her and we can't wait to teach her more!       Now you all know from past emails how kooky the people here in Oregon are. I met yet another on...

WEEK 7! Be Ambitious For Christ!

HELLO FRIENDS!!! I hope you all have had an amazing start to the New Year and are keeping up with those New Years Resolutions;)       Sadly my companion and I did test positive for Covid! Our week consisted of LOTS of drives, tons of study time and being able to find more friends on Facebook! While Facebook finding we came in contact with a guy from the Philippines he was super interested in meeting over zoom. We called him and had a really cool experience. He loved hearing about our church and wants to continue meeting with us and learning more. Hopefully we will be able to keep teaching him and be able to pass him off to missionaries in the Philippines at some point! Another cool experience happened while Facebook finding this week! I messaged a random lady who lives in Coos Bay and tried my best to get a conversation going. She left me on read and then randomly two days later she called me on Facebook. I didn't know this lady at all. I answered...
