WEEK 8! APOCALYPSE PREP

WHAT'S UP Y'ALL?! I hope you are all doing fantastic and loving life! 


     It's only been four days since I last wrote an email but it has been a great last four days! We got transfer calls last night and...I am STAYING IN COOS BAY with Sister Murdoch! I am really happy to be staying in this area. I feel really blessed to be teaching and serving the people on the coast. We are finally back to teaching after having Covid! We met with this sweet lady named Phyllis. We have been ministering to her the last few weeks due to her being sick with cancer. This last week she was feeling well enough for us to teach her a lesson! We taught her the Restoration and she LOVED it. She has had a really hard life. She lives in an RV alone and has a hard time taking care of herself. She feels like the gospel can really help her and we can't wait to teach her more! 


     Now you all know from past emails how kooky the people here in Oregon are. I met yet another one who is near the top of my list! Wanita! Wanita is a sweet old lady who talks really fast and really really loud! She no joke is PREPARED FOR THE APOCALYPSE...and we are now helping her prepare even more. She has been "teaching" us how to prepare. She believes that the world is ending and she wants to be as prepared as possible. Let me explain to you how she is preparing. She has a ton of land. On this land she has a house, 2 mobile homes, 2 RV's and 2 trailers. The mobile homes are stacked to the ceiling with food and supplies. No joke I don't think you could get in their if you tried. She has 22 garden box (not counting her many fruit trees). She has had all kinds of animals! Including llamas, bulls, cows, horses, alpacas, goats, ponies, and chickens. She said she can house 20 people and has enough food for 50. She has 5 sewing machines and fabric to make clothes for herself when "the world ends". Incase of an extra emergency she made these buckets with shelter supplies, food and clothing. She took them to the top of the hill and buried them. She said "you'll never guess what happened, the bears dug them up and ate the food". She lives alone but man if the world's ending I know where I am going! Wanita really is the most loving person. She has dealt with a lot in her life. Her husband got shot and she has since been married 4 times. Her son passed away and she has many health issues. Through it all she is one of the most faithful people I have ever met. She told me that her faith has never wavered and that hit me really hard. I love the crazy people of Oregon! To be honest this is just becoming the new normal...I'm not sure of how crazy she really is here.. considering the other people here in Oregon are pretty wild. 


     Elder White, our awesome district leader, is going home:( We had a funeral for him on Friday and celebrated with breakfast crepes and hanging out for a little while! 


     GODS LOVE IS SO POWERFUL! This week I have been in absolute awe thinking about the fact that there is not a single commandment that we are given that doesn't come with a promised blessing. How amazing is that?! God loves us so much! If we are willing to follow His simple commandments we will see blessings that are tailored for us individually. He gives and gives and gives even when all we do is take. He knows our individual needs and wants to pour out blessings upon us.There is nothing more amazing than that. Heavently Father needs just a little bit from us and He is willing to give us everything. He has given us commandments not to punish us but to give us direction so that we can receive His many blessings. I love the blessings that God has promised us as His children. I hope that you all will take time to study and understand God's love for you. As you understand His love and obey His commandments I promise you that you will see his endless blessings. His love is eternal and unmatched. 


    My heart is so full of love for all of you beautiful people!!! I hope you are all doing well! Always feel free to reach out I seriously adore each and everyone of you.

Wowza...what a week!  If I'm being real with yall it was a harder week. I absolutely love being a missionary, I love Oregon but missions truly turn you inside out and flip everything upside down! While it was a hard week it was also a great week! It was a busy, full and exciting!  Buckle up...this story might be a long one! Recently we found a lady named Eileen in our Areabook. We've been prayerful about how and when to contact her. Many times in the last week we've wanted to go visit her but for some reason we kept pushing it off. WEEK 29&30 I Love To See The Temple...Even If It's Through Torents Or Rain

Hey hey! What's up everyone?! How has everyone been doing? It has been a couple weeks! We didn't have P day last week because we got to go to the Portland temple on Friday! It was absolutely beautiful! It has been a great but tough last couple of weeks! That's life though right? We have good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks but it's a great life! Something I have learned over the course of my mission is choosing to be grateful, especially when everything seems to be going wrong! I know, easier said than done. But taking a minute to list 5 things you are grateful for in a moment of anxiousness, fear, or sadness makes a world of a difference!  Aside from some of the rough times, GOD IS SO GOOD!
