WEEK 11! WARRIOR WOMEN ON DATE!

    Hello lovely people! I can't believe it's pday again! I hope your week was full of fun and exciting opportunities! 

     MIRACLES HAPPEN! Last week I told you guys about a lady named Phyllis that we have been teaching. She has had not one type of cancer, not two but SEVEN different types of cancer. We called her our WARRIOR WOMEN! She has had one of the hardest life's I have ever heard of but her faith is strong. We were teaching her earlier this week and we felt the spirit very strongly to ask her to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized! Sister Murdoch and I were both crying as Phyllis said "yes I am ready". Phyllis began to cry with us too. The spirit we felt was amazing. For those of you who know me pretty well know that I'm a softy. The spirit can barely touch me and I'm in tears. My mission has turned me tough. I have cried little to none at all but Phyllis got my tear ducts flowing big time. We left her house on cloud nine! Before we left we had mentioned we needed to prepare her more and go over a few things before baptism. We mentioned that she needed needed quit coffee. Three days later we went over and she was drinking herbal tea as a replacement! We hadn't even taught her the word of wisdom yet but she said "you gotta do what you gotta do." I was amazed that she had stopped already! I could not be happier for Phyllis! Being able to see someone at the lowest of lows and be made whole through our Savior Jesus Christ. It is an amazing process to be apart of. Please be praying for her to overcome her coffee and smoking addiction! We have a lot of faith in her and we know that she will be able to overcome her addictions through prayers and faith!

     There is a new crazy person every week...I am sure you've all noticed! People here in Oregon just keep getting CRAZIER and CRAZIER...let me tell yah! We had a guy refer himself to us. We called him really excited and asked him if he would like a visit. He said "yes" very passionately and we got really excited! Then he started going off about how he is Jesus and is going to keep trying to gather other churches and bring them to his church (a church that he is making). He spoke about a million words a minute. He said he has been kicked out of 3 churches and was using very colorful language to explain.... He said his brother is Elvis Presley? Then he began telling us Osama Bin Laudin is still alive and he works at the 7/11 here in Coos Bay. He yelled into the phone warning us not to go there. He said he's looking for someone who knows someone who knows another someone who can help him meet Kourtney Kardashian so he can marry her...WHAT IN THE WORLD. He offered us cupcakes through the phone? I wish I could explain all the details but I will just let you imagine for yourself.... After about 10 minutes of craziness and nonstop talking we just hung up. We later found his Facebook profile and oh my goodness....you GUYS he is HILARIOUSLY! Boy are the people here something else. But yah got to love em right? 

   I say this every week and I'll probably continue saying it but I SO HAPPY serving the Lord! This week at a member dinner they asked us to explain our companionship. From the kind words of my companion,  "it's like she ate the sun and she is just woah!". I'm so full of happiness out here bringing Christ to people's lives! I can't imagine myself doing anything else or being any happier than I am right now! 

   Isaiah 41:10

 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU!
