WEEK 23! Love, Share, Invite

Image
Hello hello beautiful friends, it's your favorite sister again.  How is everyone doing? Hows life? I hope everyone is finding joy in all that they are doing:)         I'm starting to love Springfield more and more the longer I am here. Being in a bigger city again has been fun! We are working hard on getting the area going and of course FHAM is going great! On my mission I never thought I'd say I'm getting use to sitting at a computer for 7 hours a day but I'm finding the joy and postives that come with it.This week I honestly felt so blessed! I was able to be apart of so many amazing things, visit new places and meet so many awesome people! Tuesday: We woke up early and helped at seminary! They had a passover meal which was so cool. We ate lamb, unleavened bread, bitter herbs, matza, and *red sparkling cider*. We sat at long tables to represent the last supper. It was such a neat experience! Surprisingly the food was kinda good bit a little interesting to ...

WEEK 22 Happy Easter!

Hey hey whats up yall?! This week was a great week! Nothing too crazy or exciting happened! Mostly just working in the office from 10-5. I am starting to get used to my new position. Adjusting is taking time but I'm finally getting it in my head that FHAM is where the Lord needs me to be. We were able to film a lot of really amazing families this week. I love getting to know these families and hearing all their amazing stories!  Mini Miracle: I don't know about all of you but it's the small things for me, in every aspect of life. The small things are the big things! This week we were filming a sweet lady in her home. While filming I tightened the camera a little too tight to the mount of the tripod (big muscles I know ). We couldn't get it off and weren't able to use that camera for our filming project that night. We tried and tried and TRIED to get it off. Murry spent 30 minutes trying and I laid in bed at night trying for quite some time as well. It wouldn't b...

WEEK 21 "FHAMily"

Hello hello beautiful people!      Boy my mission has flipped on it's head! FHAM zone is a whole 'nother' cow!       Last Monday I spent all of P day saying goodbye to my Coos family. Those were by far some of the hardest goodbyes I've ever had to say. It felt like saying goodbye to my family at the MTC all over again but this time I didn't know when I'd see them again. Saying goodbye to Phyllis especially broke my heart. She told me me call her gg and at the point i was already in tears! I'm still trying to process the move and transition. It's taken a lot of relying on the Lord. Before coming on my mission I thought I was one for change, my mission has proved me wrong!       Anyways let's jump into FHAM! I do have an area in Springfield, but most days we only have 1-3 hours to do area work. The reason for that is because 10-5 we are working in the office everyday. We monitor stake Facebook pages, edit videos, run ads on our stake ...

WEEK 20!!! Going And Growing

Image
Hello beautiful friends and family!!! This week was a great week but a little bittersweet! I've been getting the feeling that I am leaving Coos Bay and sadly I am. But I am excited for the new adventure! I got called to be in the FHAM zone in Eugene. The FHAM zone is family history and social media which is ironic because lately I have loved family history! Anyways I am not sure what it all entails but I do know I will be going around the mission filming for stake Facebook pages, finding people on social media for other missionaries to teach, posting content, editing and sitting in a desk on a computer for many hours of the day.  It will definitely be a different kind of missionary work and take some getting used to! Even with the sadness of leaving Coos the best news of all is that I will be companions with SISTER MURDOCH again! Today is kind of a crazy day with packing and saying my goodbyes so this email will be a little sho...
