WEEK 32! Happy 4th Of July!!!

Happy 4th yall! I hope you've had such a fun day celebrating with family and friends!


This week has been in the top 3 best weeks of my mission! It has been the craziest and most busy I have been my entire mission but full of fun and hard work! With all our friends, office hours, meetings, and whitewashing in we feel like we need each day extended a couple of hours to get all the work done! We went from teaching a few people here and there in my last area to having about 4 friend lessons every day! Life is crazy but so so good! I am in love with Santa Clara! I adore my companion Sister Higgins! And the I love love LOVE the 4th ward family and all of the cute friends I get to teach here! 


With in all of teaching we found time to do service! I love doing service! We were able to do service for some members, friends and new referrals! We went to a ranch and got to work with horses! This was the biggest tender mercie ever! This wasn't just a field with horses in it...this was a beautiful barn with tons stalls with each of the horses names engraved in the door, lights hanging, an arena attached to the barn, a bed and breakfast upstairs! Now for the coolest part! They are building a 16 foot wide, mile long track around there property to ride the horses! I was in awe the entire time...it was a dream. I get to go every Saturday and clean out the stalls...I never thought I'd be happier picking up horse poop!


We have the sweetest friend named Vinny! He is the most smiley and tender soul EVER! He is trying to quit smoking so he can be baptized! He has gone through so much in his life but is so strong in the gospel and wants to live his life for God. He loves the Book of Mormon more than anyone I've ever seen and has an unshakable testimony! We taught him the 10 commandments and all the hand signals that go with it...you can only imagine how fun this was ahha! Pray that Vinny will be able to overcome his addictions!


We had a sweet lady names Joy reach out to us about learning more! She just moved here a couple months ago from Nigeria and is looking for a church to go to! We met with her and she is happier than ever to learn about the Book of Mormon! She loves that there is a whole other book about Jesus Christ! She is one of the most elect souls I have ever met! She wants nothing more than to do anything and everything for God! Joys name suits her well and I can't wait to see the gospel bless her life!


We have been teaching a few friends online as well! From Africa to Vegas we are finding friends on Facebook who are so ready and prepared to hear the gospel! It amazes me that there are missionaries within a couple miles of them but it took Facebook for them to find the gospel! I know that God has given us social media to be able to further His work! Social media is how we are going to gather Israel!


I truly love the Lord's work and I am so grateful to be able to share the gospel! This week pray about a way you can share the gospel! It can be as simple as sending a friend a scripture or posting a simple quote:) I know that big and small miracles will come from our small acts of faith! I lobe each of you and I hope all is going well, with all my love and prayers

Wowza...what a week!  If I'm being real with yall it was a harder week. I absolutely love being a missionary, I love Oregon but missions truly turn you inside out and flip everything upside down! While it was a hard week it was also a great week! It was a busy, full and exciting!  Buckle up...this story might be a long one! Recently we found a lady named Eileen in our Areabook. We've been prayerful about how and when to contact her. Many times in the last week we've wanted to go visit her but for some reason we kept pushing it off. On Thursday night we finally decided to drop by and visit her. With a bag of chocolates in our hands we knocked on her door. A man, who was her grandson, opened the door. WEEK 29&30 I Love To See The Temple...Even If It's Through Torents Or Rain

Hey hey! What's up everyone?! How has everyone been doing? It has been a couple weeks! We didn't have P day last week because we got to go to the Portland temple on Friday! It was absolutely beautiful! It has been a great but tough last couple of weeks! That's life though right? We have good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks but it's a great life! Something I have learned over the course of my mission is choosing to be grateful, especially when everything seems to be going wrong! I know, easier said than done. But taking a minute to list 5 things you are grateful for in a moment of anxiousness, fear, or sadness makes a world of a difference!  Aside from some of the rough times, GOD IS SO GOOD!
