WEEK 29&30 I Love To See The Temple...Even If It's Through Torents Or Rain

Hey hey! What's up everyone?! How has everyone been doing? It has been a couple weeks! We didn't have P day last week because we got to go to the Portland temple on Friday! It was absolutely beautiful! It has been a great but tough last couple of weeks! That's life though right? We have good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks but it's a great life! Something I have learned over the course of my mission is choosing to be grateful, especially when everything seems to be going wrong! I know, easier said than done. But taking a minute to list 5 things you are grateful for in a moment of anxiousness, fear, or sadness makes a world of a difference!

Aside from some of the rough times, GOD IS SO GOOD! We have had some really great opportunities and I feel so blessed! As always, I love being a missionary!

Our friend Steve who lives in Newport is doing SO good! We have been meeting with him over zoom when we are not able to drive to the coast! He is so receptive and ready to hear about the gospel! Right now he is praying about the priesthood and baptism! Another awesome friend we are teaching over zoom is Clevertough, from the Philippines! He is the most prepared person I have ever met! Back when Sister Murdoch and I were companions over New Years we found Clevertough over Facebook. We met with him once and then his schedule got busy. After a long 6 months he reached out to us and decided he was more available! We have taught him the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation and he LOVES it! He says he can't seem to 'gain enough wisdom' about the church. He has been reading the Book of Mormon and watching videos about the Restoration! We talked with him about baptism and we think he will be ready once he prays about the Book of Mormon! I love that we are living here in Springfield but are able to teach people all over the world!

One of the highlights I have had the last couple weeks is doing Saturday service at Pam's! After a long week I always look forward to doing service on Saturdays! Especially when it is at Pams house! She has a farm with alpacas, chickens, dogs and bees! She gives us fresh blackberry honey, eggs and fruit! Her alpacas are trained to kiss you on the cheek if you take a selfie with them, haha!

We were also able to visit our sweet friend Eileen this week! After an appointment was cancelled we decided to drop by her house. She has been off and on about learning about the gospel due to her family being against the church. When we dropped by she gave us a huge hug and kept chanting "God bless you, He sent you to me". She told us she was moving to Eugene:( She wants us to come teach her there! She was also going crazy because her TV is the one thing that brings her happiness. She loves to watch people win jeopardy and see their happiness (isn't that precious?). She couldn't get it to work so we gave it a shot. We changed the HDMI and voila it worked! I have never seen someone jump for joy like that! She kept punching me in the arm saying "God bless you!" Turns out she was also trying to use her telephone to turn on the TV! We were all laughing together.

Fham is going really great! We are keeping busy with filming, editing, running the Facebook pages, trainings and meetings! I am grateful for this calling. It is not something I thought I would be doing on my mission but it pushes me everyday and for that I am grateful! I usually like to be comfortable but I am learning the only way to grow is to be uncomfortable! Haha!

Here is a quote this week that I read that I love!
"God's ways are not always our ways. What we perceive is not always what we receive. Seeing through a glass darkly, we don't always understand the whole picture. But I think many times God is satisfied with us getting a correct direction. And while things don't always work out as we plan, we will see God's hand."
It can be hard to be positive and look for the things that we are grateful for but we truly have been given so much! There is so much to be grateful for! If we are constantly striving and doing all we can, God will provide a way and we will be able to see His hand and feel His love!

I love you all so much! Have the best week! As always feel free to reach out if you need to talk, pray or need a friend! With all my love and prayers,
