WEEK 28 Mission Magic

Happy pday and memorial day to all my favorite people!!

Okay first of all...where is the time going?! I'm pretty sure January just started and now it's almost June... I seriously can't believe how fast time is flying bye! Second, how is everyone doing?! I hope everyone is starting the summer off right! Be sure to jump in the pool and play in the sand for me;)

This week we were able to cut back our time in the office and work a bit more in our area! Sister Murdoch and I made it a goal to get ahead with filming and content creation so that we can spend more time finding and interacting with the ward this transfer! The Lord has provided a way for us to be almost fully planned out for the transfer! It was the BEST thing ever! I absolutely love people and thrive off of relationships! Something about being with people rather than on a computer all week just had me smiling! Don't get me wrong I love FHAM and the opportunities I get to have! But my drive to keep going everyday comes from the people here in Oregon that I get to meet everyday!

I met a few pretty amazing people this week! Some of my favorites being the Cantrells! They are a treat, especially brother Cantrell. We hadn't even opened our car doors before we saw him opening the front door ready to welcome us in! Right as we sat down he pulled out a black table and set it infront of us. I was a bit confused until he started doing magic tricks! Seriously you guys this man was a magician! He showed us all kinds of tricks and I was seriously in amazement. It took me back to the days when my family would watch America's Got Talent together! The magicians were always my favorite and here Brother Cantrell is making all my dreams come true right there in his living room! The magic tricks were a highlight but the real excitement came from their caretaker, Beverly! She listened to our discussion and participated quite a bit! She showed a lot of interest in learning more about the Gospel! Okay but hear this! Right infront of Beverly, sister Cantrell said, "Let's make a convert out of her!" You think this would have been awkward...because it kinda was. Until Beverly just happily nodded her head and agreed! She's one of those elect people God just places in front of you! We are so excited to begin teaching Beverly!

We headed to Corvallis for church yesterday and were able to film some sweet primary kids! We are in the works of making a Father's day video compiled of us asking little kids what their dad has taught them about Jesus. Imagine how tender this was. I asked Pearl what her dad has taught her about Jesus and she said "A lot of fings, like Jesus created the whole earfff." Hearing sweet testimonies about Jesus from little 5 year olds was so precious and genuinely helped me to see the light and love the Gospel has to offer.

SPIRITUAL: Jesus Christ Arms!
My favorite scripture is 2 Nephi 1:15  "But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love." Based on this scripture I decided to study 'His arms' in the Book of Mormon! Seriously such an amazing study! There are so many verses that talk about His arms. In almost all of these verses it explains how His arms are extended toward us. I found this so enlightening. Jesus Christ is always extending His arms to us out of love, mercy, and grace. He is extending them towards us so He can clasp us in His loving arms. Life isn't always easy. We go through many trials, pains and afflictions. But if we can remember that Christ's arms are extended to us ready to clasp us and encircle us we have no need to fear! This week study about 'His arms' and see what you can find! I'll start you with a few of my favorites! Mosiah 29:20, Alma 19:36, 3 Nephi 9:14, Mormon 5:11.

I love the Lord's work and I am so grateful for the opportunities and blessings that come from being His disciple! Have a great week and let me know if there's anything I can do for any of you! With all my love and prayers,
