Image
Hey y'all! You're probably wondering why the heck I'm sending an email on a Thursday...today we were lucky enough to go to the Medford temple with our zone! Our pday got switched but just for the week:)! Boy oh boy this week was a good one! Pretty busy but full of amazing experiences! (Kinda a long email, skip to the pictures If you don't like to read;)) Monday: Wow oh wow! Monday was the most memorable P day I've had! We were able to go to Florence with Paul and Judy! We got the spectacular Mo's clam chowder (if you know me you know this made my entire week), went to the largest Sea Lion Caves, and met with our DL to get Paul's baptismal interview done. Paul and Judy insisted they treat us to everything and even got us souvenirs and ice cream, we politely protested but they insisted, then Paul set the matter to rest when he said, quietly, "well, you showed me the way" we were so touched by his humility and solemn testimony of the sacred opportunit...

Hey, hey cute friends and family! It was another amazing and beautiful week here in Oregon! Still loving Coos Bay, my companion and teaching others the Joy that comes from the Gospel of Jesus Christ:) I hope all is going well with everyone! I think about each and everyone of you very often! I am so grateful for all of your support and love. It means the world to me! Please feel free to reach out anytime and let me know if there is anything I can do for you or if there is anyone I can pray for.            Monday: A cute member of our ward raises goats...lots of them. Last p day we got to play with them! One of them was just born two days before we went over. They were absolutely PRECIOUS!       Tuesday: We met with a lady named Barbara that was referred to us a couple weeks ago as a basher. When we did an online zoom call a couple weeks ago to do family history she was nothing but sweet! We found ou...

WEEK 17 Beaches, Pies, And Chickens

Hey hey! This week has been a crazy week, full of so many amazing things!!! The work is going great and I truly love being a missionary! My companion, Sister Ward, is seriously one of my best friends! We get along so well and are very alike!  Highlights and miracle! -We dropped bye and visited Vera, a sweet old lady who has been taking the missionary discussions for almost a decade and a half! Holy guacamole! I know! One member of our ward who is now married with kids was one of her missionaries. Crazy. She is so sweet and we had a great time talking about God's love, and she enjoyed reading the scriptures with us so much. Past missionaries left a note in our areabook saying she doesn't like the Book of Mormon at all but when we read it to her she kept asking us to read more! It was a miracle! She also does Thai Chi and wants to teach us! We are stoked! -Dinner with the Dennings every Tuesday night is always a blast! The sunset was stunning and they let me play with their chick...

WEEK 16 Family History...Isn't Just For Old People!

Hello beautiful people! WOW! Where to start... I feel so blessed to be a missionary doing the Lord's work! Being an instrument in His hands brings me joy beyond comprehension!      I discovered a new LOVE for family history! My entire week was centered on it! I have been able to find a little over 1,000 names to take to the temple in just 6 days. It has been amazing to do the Lord's work on both sides of the veil this week. While I have been ecstatic about family history this week I have been able to find many ways to implement it into my missionary work. We have done Zoom calls and taught people about family history, brought it up while messaging people on facebook, and have been able to teach our recent convert friends about it! We are taking Brenda and Sharon (my cute friends who were just baptized in December) to the Medford temple this upcoming Saturday! This week we have been able to help them connect to their f...
