Week 2!!! Happy (Late) Thanksgiving!

Hello lovely people!!! HAPPY (late) THANKSGIVING! I am so grateful for every single one of you! You all have blessed my life so much and I can never begin to explain how much love I have for all of you!

This week has been full of ups and downs! I have never been so happy yet so tired at the same time...I guess that's the life of a missionary, right? But really I am so happy! I love being here at the MTC around other missionaries!

My district LOVES to spend every free second we have together! We are with each other as soon as we can be in the morning and end the night with being together! We have a really special bond! We play kickball every night in the freezing cold but it is SO fun! Another cool thing my district does is every night we highlight a person. We all stand in a circle and say nice things about them and also make them compliment themselves. SO grateful for all of them!

Thanksgiving was a blast yesterday! I can now say I am a true missionary after fangirling over an apostle! Gary E. Stevenson came and spoke to us to start off the day! It was pretty amazing. We then had our Thanksgiving meal! Get this...I'm in line waiting to get my food and all the sudden I look up and Gary E. Stevenson is in front of me! Before I know it he's saying my name and shaking my hand! Anyways, kinda a cool experience! We were able to participate in a service project where we packed 280,000 meals with the Hunger Fight Foundation! It felt so good to help others! My heart truly was so full!! Sharon Ubank came and spoke to us as well. Her talk was so powerful. To end the night we had a musical devotional and Christmas lights! We showed up at the devotional and the Piano Guys were performing! It was the most music I've heard in the last week here at the MTC! We went around campus and looked at all the pretty lights while listening to Christmas music. I LOVE the magical feeling of the holiday season! The MTC sure does know how to keep you busy on Thanksgiving so we aren't homesick. They really did make it so special! I can say with confidence that it was one of my favorite Thanksgivings!

I was able to go to the temple again today with my district and feel my Savior's love. I know it can be hard to get into the temple right now but I want to challenge all of you to try and schedule an appointment to go. The peace you will feel will help you feel the Savior's love. I know that if you try to make this an effort that you will be blessed and your prayers will be answered.

I want to share a scripture that has become very meaningful and sacred to me.
Mosiah 24:14-15
14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.

These verses are so powerful. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ! I am so overwhelmed with gratitude to know that my Savior Jesus Christ visits me in my trials. I know that we are never alone because of him. I know of a surety that He loves me and you! How great is it that we are able to repent and be healed through Him!!!

GOD IS SO GOOD and I love you all! Have a great week!
